Présentation
Objectives

The objective of this curriculum is to enable graduates to work in the legal and fiscal departments of major multinational firms, Anglo-Saxon business consultancies or large banks as well as certain regulatory agencies.
Trained to navigate in an Anglo-Saxon environment, the student can focus on international law. The following positions can be targeted: lawyer in the legal department of a big company, a group of companies or a multinational firm; employee in a business law firm (primarily Anglo-Saxon); international fiscal lawyer; lawyer in a bank; regulatory agency; lawyer in a public financial institution (“Caisse des dépôts et consignation”) or private. A PhD is also an option (doctoral contract, CIFRE agreement...) but the objective of this curriculum is primarily professional; the students receive interactive hands-on training, half of which is taught by professionals. Their dual expertise Law and Management enables them to work closely with the senior management of the groups they will work in or with.

Career prospects

The course unfolds at the three different sites so as to allow students a progressive specialisation between S1 and S4, with a view to rapid integration into the business world. The course is divided into two stages: the first year (M1) covers the basics of corporate law and allows students, through the choice of subjects offered, to sit for the entrance exam to the 'Ecole de Formation des Avocats' as soon as they have obtained their Master's degree in Law (CRFPA). S3 and S4 lead on to specialisation with a view to entering working life.
The course places great emphasis on preparing students to enter working life, using a range of educational tools: 60 hours or more of English lessons or law lessons in English ensure that students become fluenct in everyday and business English. A professional project course from M1 onwards with ECTS allocation strongly supports the personal focus of students throughout the two years.
At the end of the BTFML M2, students are trained in the skills expected of the legal departments of large groups or financial institutions in the private or public sector, as well as international business law firms.
