Lysias Sceaux is an association whose purpose is to promote the practice of public speaking and law within the Faculty of Law Jean Monnet of Université Paris-Saclay and in particular to organise speech and pleading competitions for students.

The association is affiliated with the Conférence Nationale Lysias, which has been organising speech and pleading competitions at the national level for many years.

What does that mean?

It means that each year there is a local selection phase giving students the opportunity to participate in a prestigious nationwide competition.

The winners of our Faculty's competition will then compete against the winners of all the partner law faculties in France. Both at the local and at the national level, a prestigious jury will select the best among you.

Everyone has a chance. Nothing will stop you from taking the road to victory and prestige. So sign up right now. Such an experience will inevitably benefit you intellectually, professionally and personally.

1st and 2nd years may participate in the pleading competitions (respectively in the "civil law" category for 1st years and in the "criminal law" category for 2nd years). 3rd years and Master's students can participate in the speech competition. Registration opens in early January.
In addition to this competition, we organise institutional visits, cultural trips, speech evenings, conferences, theatre outings and much more...
