On Friday 20 October 2023, Université Paris-Saclay hosted an event for company directors from across the Essonne department at ENS Paris-Saclay, in association with the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. The event gave participants the chance to explore and discuss quantum science and technologies and how it can be used in the corporate world.

The meeting was also an opportunity to present the Quantum-Saclay Research Centre, which was created to encourage and develop quantum science and technology. The centre provides training for researchers in quantum physics and develops innovative quantum technologies, such as quantum computers, sensors and communications, whilst exploring the theorical basics of quantum physics.

The delegation of company directors also had the chance to learn more about two quantum start-ups from the Paris-Saclay area: Quandela, developed by the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (C2N – Univ. Paris-Saclay, CNRS, Univ. Paris Cité) and Crystal Quantum Computing.

Université Paris-Saclay offers numerous full-time academic and continuing education programmes in quantum physics, all of which were also presented as part of the event.
