Genopole, France’s leading biocluster in biotechnology, and Université Paris-Saclay, a world-class research-intensive university, have signed a strategic partnership agreement, strengthening their work together in innovation and biotechnology.

The agreement aims to promote scientific and technological progress in the fields of health and the environment. It hopes to help the development of collaborative and innovative research projects, strengthen biotechnology expertise with new programmes for students and researchers, and support the development of innovative companies.

Among the commitments made, the agreement includes a drive to encourage synergies between education and research at both institutions, contributing to the quality of education provided to students both in research and through research. The partnership also aims to pool resources, support forms of dialogue, and develop shared infrastructure and platforms equipped with cutting-edge research facilities.

The partnership will act as a precious tool in the continued development of innovation for the future, by giving teams an ecosystem that is conducive to research excellence.

“This partnership is an important step for Genopole and Université Paris-Saclay,” said Gilles Trystram, CEO of Genopole. “It will allow us to build on our existing relationship and create synergies to tackle challenges in innovation and biotechnology.”
