Most frequent specific cases

This tool does not support cases of multiple supervisions because supervision rules outside of Université Paris-Saclay may change.

On this topic, the Université Paris-Saclay signature charter specifies :

In this case, we recommend a multi-line signature:

  • The general Université Paris-Saclay signature described above is used for one line and includes all the supervisory bodies within Université Paris-Saclay
  • Another line is provided for each of the unit’s external academic co-supervisory body, with a signature that follows the guidelines of that body.

The order of the lines is agreed jointly by the supervisory bodies and the unit director, and for each author concerned may possibly depend on his or her employing institution.

The postal address of the corresponding author (reprint author) may only include the line relating to the author’s employing institution.

In the specific case of CIAMS, a second line is added as follows : CIAMS, Université d'Orléans, 45067, Orléans, France.

In some cases, a unit might advocate different orders of appearance for its supervisions, according to the signing author's employer.

For example, INRAE staff from PSAE unit should use the signature line as follows : Université Paris-Saclay, INRAE, AgroParisTech, Paris-Saclay Applied Economics, 91120, Palaiseau, France.

Instead, AgroParisTech staff from the same unit should use the one as follows : Université Paris-Saclay, AgroParisTech, INRAE, Paris-Saclay Applied Economics, 91120, Palaiseau, France.

These employer-based differences are however not the common rule. In any doubt, please contact bibliometrie@universite-paris-saclay.fr

After a unit has been merged, closed or has changed name, it may no longer appear in the signature generation tool, although some works that were prepared in this unit are still in press.

Please find below the signature lines for units that have been removed recently from the signature generation tool :

How do I acknowledge a funding ?

About funding sources, the signature charter specifies:

Activities and projects such as those led by Idex, Labex , CEPR partnerships, Research Federations, federating institutes, Observatories and so on, as well as funding programs (e.g. ANR including IDEX, European or other institutions), and chairs should not feature in the signature. However, they may or should be mentioned in the acknowledgements where the project or program identifier should be provided.

Here are some examples of mentions:

IDEX Paris-Saclay, convention ANR n° ANR-11-IDEX-0003:

This work is supported as part of the “Investissements d’Avenir”, programme IDEX dévolu ANR-11-IDEX-0003.
