Présentation du laboratoire

Les recherches menées au Centre international de recherche sur l'environnement et le développement (CIRED) ont pour objectif de comprendre comment les problématiques environnementales et de développement économique peuvent s'articuler pour un développement durable de nos sociétés. Pour cela, trois grands domaines sont étudiés : l'énergie, les infrastructures urbaines et rurales (bâtiments, transport, réseaux d'eau) et les activités agricoles et forestières. Pour mener à bien ces recherches, les équipes du CIRED sont pluridisciplinaires et mêlent des compétences en sciences sociales, sciences de la nature et sciences de l'ingénieur pour modéliser les évolutions de systèmes économiques en fonction de facteurs environnementaux, politiques, des infrastructures, etc. Le centre a également tissé de forts liens avec l'industrie et les institutions (chaire, participation au GIEC, etc.).
