Junior Space Academy 2026 – Immersion in the space universe of the Île-de-France region

The Académie Spatiale d’Île-de-France is going to organize the third edition of its « Junior Space Academy » summer school, dedicated to providing an overview of what the space sector and the related degrees in Paris region have to offer, from Monday June 15th to Friday June 19th 2026, for Bachelor’s student (from L1 to L3). This program, open to international students, will be conducted entirely in English.

The Junior Space Academy is a summer school organized every June since 2024. It offers a one-week immersion into the space ecosystem of the Île-de-France region, bringing together around thirty undergraduate students (or equivalent) who are passionate about space.

This summer school can be attended in person (limited to 30 participants) or remotely. Applicants selected for in-person participation will be accommodated in twin rooms (2 per room) from monday evening to friday morning. During this summer school, your expenses for accomodation and meals will be covered. If you are selected as a candidate, a 50€ deposit will be asked and given back at the end of your stay. The deposit will be kept if you’re not coming without a valuable reason. 

Applicants wishing to participate in the Junior Space Academy in person but are not selected due to lack of space will be given priority for remote participation.

  • In-person program : The activities will take place on several site: OVSQ, ONERA, University Paris Cité and University Paris-Saclay. The program will include project management, presentations on the themes of Nanosats, instrumentation and Earth observation, chemistry and materials for space, as well as company visits.
  • Remote program : From monday to thursday : all presentations (excluding lab tours) will be accessibl remotely.
