This 1st year Master's enables students to develop their project, whether this involves pursuing a doctorate or entering the job market. Students will become familiar with and master the theoretical concepts and methodological tools (taking into account contexts in terms of time horizons, spatial scales, stakeholder strategies and institutions) needed to understand and analyse economic issues in detail.
2 semesters Internship or dissertation of 6-8 weeks Limited and selective capacity (15 in 2nd year Master's) Full-time academic programmes or continuing education, 100% continuous assessment by lecturers and a high proportion of professional lecturers Integration days, personalised mid-course assessment, tutored project, conference-visits with professionals, participative in-course workshops Agreement with the Conseil Général des Yvelines enables our best students to carry out assessments of decentralised cooperation projects in the field (Africa, South America, Asia). Active participation by the 2nd year Master's EEDS teaching team in research networks (CIRAD, GIS-GEMDEV, Association Française d'Economie Politique, Association Tiers Monde, etc.) provides our students with scientific contacts.

Understand and produce a presentation on the evaluation and economic analysis of the themes of development, the environment and sustainable development (by considering the work of geographers, sociologists, historians, jurists or specialists in political science and international relations) Describe, analyse and evaluate economic activity in fields related to development, the environment and sustainable development, taking into account the political context (political economy), on different territorial scales Make an economic diagnosis in the fields of development, the environment and sustainable development, at different scales (macroeconomic, mesoeconomic and microeconomic), integrating factors of vulnerability, the strategies of actors, the level of inequality and poverty. Apply and analyse decision-support tools, in particular indicators relating to development, the environment and sustainable development, taking into account the historical and spatial characteristics of markets, organisations and societies Express yourself effectively, both orally and in writing; design and develop a research and development, study and/or prospective approach applied to the fields of development, the environment and sustainable development.
