How to apply for CROUS housing for the 2026–2027 academic year
- Complete your Student Social File (DSE) before May 31, 2026 on the platform and tick the box “I request housing in a CROUS residence.”
- Go to the housing website starting May 5 to submit your housing preferences.
- Housing allocation takes place in 3 rounds for scholarship students (based on social criteria):
- Round 1: May 5 – May 31
- Round 2: June 9 – June 15
Round 3: June 23 – June 29
- If you are not assigned housing after these 3 rounds, or if you are not eligible for the DSE, you can take part in the additional phase starting July 7, 2026.
- If you are offered housing, you will have 48 hours to confirm the offer by email and pay a reservation fee.

For students with disabilities needing adapted housing
- Before May 31, 2026: complete a DSE (even if you are not a scholarship holder) and tick “I request housing”

Renewing your CROUS housing for 2026–2027 (outside partnerships)
Submit your renewal request before May 3, 2026, following your residence’s procedures.

Lokaviz is a CROUS platform for renting rooms and studio apartments from private individuals throughout France.
Offers reserved for students of the university components
Studapart is an online platform that brings together various student residences. This platform, a partner of the University, helps students find the ideal residence based on campus location and rent: https://universite-paris-saclay.studapart.com.
From submitting your rental application to booking your accommodation, everything is done directly on the platform.
To get started, click on “Tenant Space” and sign up using your university-provided email or your personal email address.
The available residences are diverse, managed by different landlords, and are located on or near the University of Paris-Saclay campuses.

Request assistance in finding accommodation for the 2025-2026 academic year in a Crous university residence
Eligible public: Applications ar open to students admitted or enrolled for the 2025-2026 academic year in a component faculty or institute or doctoral program at Université Paris-Saclay. Criteria are applied to respond to requests made with a limited number of places. It is recommended to apply for standard housing with the CROUS on the platform https://trouverunlogement.lescrous.fr/ in addition to this application.
Procedure:
- Starting June 16, 2025, complete the form available at the following link: Request for assistance in obtaining accommodation
- You will be asked several questions about your identity, your current situation, your study and your accommodation.
- Please prepare the following supporting documents: Proof of admission or registration for 2025-2026 and, depending on your situation, a scholarship certificate, and a statement of your circumstances (family breakdown, specific housing needs if you have a disability or health issues).
- The Practical Life and Social Action Unit of the University's Student Life and Equal Opportunities Department (DVEEC) will analyze your application based on the criteria established by the Student Housing Commission. - Your situation meets the criteria and subject to availability: receive a housing offer based on your preferences.
- Your situation does not meet the criteria or the university no longer has available spaces: the DVEEC will assist you in applying to other housing options.

Request a renewal under partnership for 2025-2026 in a CROUS university residence in Versailles or Créteil
Procedure:
To keep the CROUS accommodation you currently occupy for the 2025-2026 academic year and which you initially joined through the partnership with the university, here are the steps to follow:
- Before May 31, 2025: Create your Student Social File at https://www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/envole/
- Before April 16, 2025: Request your renewal via the "Manage your accommodation" > "Cité'U" section of the website https://www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/envole/ then log in by selecting your CROUS home address, then "My current accommodation," and finally clicking on "Request my renewal."
- The CROUS will process your request in April and May 2025.
- Receive a response notification by email from your residence
- If approved: Confirm your reservation within 72 hours of receiving notification via Cité'U > My current accommodation. You will then need to update your rental file within one month.
- In the event of an unfavorable decision: you can appeal the decision within 2 months of receiving the notification.

Criteria taken into account for renewal applications:
The criteria applied by the CROUS are as follows:
- Be a student at a higher education institution
- Proof of progress in the curriculum (maximum 5 years for the undergraduate cycle, 3 years for the undergraduate cycle) maximum for the Master's program and a maximum of 4 years for the doctoral program)
- Hold a residence admission decision for the 2025-2026 academic year
- Be up to date with fees
- Have complied with the internal regulations
- Not have resided in a university residence for more than five years (a sixth year may be granted exceptionally by the Crous depending on the student's situation, particularly to complete a course). Furthermore, the maximum number of renewals may be reduced in a residence that is highly attractive.
- Maintain the accommodation until August 31, 2025
For service and/or security reasons, student may be subject to a temporary rehousing measure in an equivalent area and/or accommodation.
+ For students renewed under the partnership with Paris-Saclay University, additional criteria apply.
