Student registration

When your application to Université Paris-Saclay has been accepted, you will receive an email inviting you to complete your enrolment. Administrative enrolment is mandatory, personal and must be renewed each academic year. The administrative enrolment campaign opens in early July.

Administrative enrolment is:

  • mandatory: no student may take part in the University’s teaching or research activities unless they are duly enrolled at the institution;
  • annual: it must be renewed at the start of each academic year;
  • personal: it is subject to the submission of an application file and supporting documents, which are used to determine, according to your individual circumstances, the amount of tuition fees payable in order to validate your enrolment.

Administrative enrolment grants you student status. It allows you to sit examinations, obtain your degree and access the full range of student and campus services.

Steps for administrative enrolment

Every student enrolled in an initial training programme at a higher education institution must, prior to their enrolment, pay the Student and Campus Life Contribution (CVEC) to the CROUS.

The CVEC fee is €105 for the 2025–2026 academic year.

To obtain your certificate:

Your CVEC number appears on your certificate and will be required for your administrative enrolment.

If you are a social scholarship student, a refugee, a beneficiary of subsidiary protection, or an asylum seeker, you are exempt from paying the CVEC.

You must still log in to the CVEC platform in order to obtain your exemption certificate and CVEC number.

For more information, please consult the CVEC website.

Administrative enrolment must be renewed every year. It is mandatory in order to obtain a student card or sit examinations. It also gives rise to the statutory payment of tuition fees.

Determine your situation

There are two enrolment platforms for undergraduate studies: one for first-time entrants and one for re-enrolment.
