M2 Management Stratégique et Changement (MSC)
Supporting a company through strategic transformation, the improvement of working methods and processes, the roll-out of digital tools, or the evolution of its information systems requires expertise in project management methods, change management, and strategy & organisation consulting.
The MSC Master’s programme therefore aims to train specialists in strategic change management and project management, prepared to take on cross-functional roles (change manager, project manager, PMO, product owner, scrum master, consultant, product manager, HR or marketing project officer) within a global context of environmental, social, and digital transformation of organisations.
Building on M1 MSC, M2 MSC prepares future managers, project leaders, and consultants who specialize in designing and delivering projects that drive operational change and strategic transformation across all types of organizations. The curriculum is designed to consolidate the foundations laid in M1 in both strategic and operational management (strategy and CSR, people management and leadership, project team management, change management, process and complex project management, innovation, digital transformation, information systems, and international/intercultural management). In addition, courses in English, project management, and research methods, together with the implementation of team projects, the 6th month internship placements, and the completion of a rigorous research thesis, equip students with practical know-how as well as strong analytical and interpersonal skills that significantly enhance their professionalization and employability.
- Chef de projet (digital, marketing, SI, AMOA…), Project Management Officer ;
- Community & Change Manager, Business Analyst, Chef de produit, chargé d'études ;
- Consultant (changement, projet, qualité, organisation, RH-SIRH, SI, marketing…)
The majority of M2 MSC come from M1 MSC standard track and are admitted by right. However, admission is also possible for students who have completed an M1 in the Strategic Management major, other M1 programs within the Graduate School of Economics & Management, and external candidates, following a selective review of the application and an interview.
A minimum B1 level in English (CEFR) is expected (and C1 in French for international students). Submission of a Score IAE-Message is appreciated.
General expectations:
- Successful completion—with strong mastery—of M1 courses related to the strategic management of organizations.
- One or more internships/apprenticeships, and participation in projects and/or group activities.
- A clear career plan consistent with the skills developed and the program’s professional outcomes.
- Intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine interest in research in strategic management and the scientific method.
As part of the Project Management course unit (UE), students design, formalize, and implement social, solidarity-based, cultural, or sports projects, applying the methods taught in class with guidance from the course coordinator. Likewise, the Strategy & Organization Consulting and Innovation Project Management courses place students in project teams and require them to produce and present deliverables.
A six-month internship in a company (minimum of three months) is a major component of students’ professional training, closely aligned with the knowledge and skills acquired in class. Assessment of the in-company immersion is based on the completion of a research thesis in strategic management whose research question is tied to the professional context. The aim is to evaluate students’ critical analysis and reflective practice regarding their professional immersion, as well as their ability to conduct applied research in strategic management.
- d'être capable de collecter et analyser des informations internes et externes se rapportant à l'activité d'une organisation ;
- de manager des projets de toute nature ;
- de concevoir et accompagner des stratégies de changement organisationnel ;
- d'élaborer et de traiter une problématique de recherche appliquée en management stratégique ;
