Description / General Organization At the end of the program, students should have two types of skills: - They must be able to integrate into a professional network, work in a team on security-related topics, and be familiar with the operating methods of the local, national, and international institutions in which they will be working (theoretical and methodological knowledge, key institutional benchmarks). - Attending professional seminars on security professions, contemporary security issues, and the social actors involved in urban coexistence should provide them with a thorough understanding of these environments as well as professional skills.

Skills Understanding the environment and challenges of prevention and security policies: knowledge of the institutional organization, the legal framework, and the major issues related to prevention and internal security, mastery of the main tools for analyzing prevention and security policies. Preparing summary documents and communication materials: research and document summaries, notes for elected officials, administrative managers, and senior executives in public and private security. Designing, conducting, and monitoring a study: translating an institutional commission into specifications, implementing a survey system (developing a problem, questionnaires, and interview guides), processing and analyzing data, writing reports and summary notes, and the ability to evaluate an expert report (as a sponsor). Mastering tools for managing and evaluating prevention and security policies: designing evaluation systems (knowledge of fundamental methods and principles), developing consultation mechanisms, and implementing a risk management analysis.
