Disability policy at Paris-Saclay University

Université Paris-Saclay is an innovative university committed to providing everyone with the means to fully express their talents, and to promoting diversity and difference as strengths for individuals and as a source of richness for the university community.

As such, Université Paris-Saclay is committed to implementing a disability policy that reflects a core belief: every individual, regardless of their differences or disabilities, has a place within our university.

  • The Université Paris-Saclay Disability Master Plan reflects a shared institutional commitment to making the university exemplary in terms of inclusion and disability awareness. Within each faculty, school, and partner institution, specific disability action plans are developed to implement this policy.
  • The University’s Diversity and Disability Office provides leadership with the information, recommendations, and initiatives needed to create the conditions for genuine equal opportunities for success for all.
  • The Handiversité working group brings together—alongside research and academic stakeholders from Université Paris-Saclay—companies, non-profit organizations, and regional actors to coordinate and strengthen actions around disability.
  • The biennial Handiversité conference highlights innovation and advances in the field of disability.
  • In addition, Université Paris-Saclay is a signatory of the Atypie-Friendly charter, which aims to improve support for students with neurodevelopmental conditions (NDC), such as learning differences (“dys” disorders), autism spectrum conditions (ASC), and attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity (ADHD).

Two disability project officers coordinate the university’s disability policy and related actions, in alignment with the Disability Master Plan and in close collaboration with the network of student disability advisors and staff disability contacts across faculties, schools, and partner institutions.
