Tess Bouis, alumnus of Université Paris-Saclay, appointed Member of the Institute for Advanced Study

On Tuesday 2 September 2025, the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), a leading centre for theoretical research based in Princeton, New Jersey (United States), announced its members for the 2025-2026 academic year. Tess Bouis, alumnus of Université Paris-Saclay, is among the distinguished scholars selected.

Tess Bouis, who earned a doctorate in mathematics at Université Paris-Saclay within the Orsay Mathematics Laboratory* (LMO- Univ. Paris-Saclay/CNRS) under the supervision of Matthew Morrow, CNRS Research Director at the LMO, has been appointed Member of the Institute for Advanced Study, one of the most prestigious research institutes in the world.

From September 2025 to June 2026, Tess Bouis will pursue research at the IAS School of Mathematics. A specialist in arithmetic geometry and algebraic K-theory, he will work alongside eminent international scholars.

Founded in 1930 in Princeton, New Jersey, the IAS is dedicated to advancing fundamental research in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment. Each year, the Institute hosts over 250 senior and postdoctoral researchers among the most promising in their fields, supporting cutting-edge work across four disciplines: historical studies, mathematics, natural sciences, and social sciences.
