Patrick Duvaut appointed Vice President of Université Paris-Saclay, reponsible for the Fondation Paris-Saclay Université

Patrick Duvaut, University Professor, has been appointed Vice President at Université Paris-Saclay, responsible for the Fondation Paris-Saclay Université. He began his new role on 1 November 2021.

Former Head of Innovation at the Institut Mines-Télécom, Patrick Duvaut has over 20 years of experience in management and strategic decision-making roles in innovation, both in large companies and start-ups in France and worldwide (United-States, China, India and Japan). A graduate of ENS Paris-Saclay (previously ENS Cachan), Patrick Duvaut is a University Professor with a PhD in Statistics.

He has invented and negotiated a series of standards for internet access for all with the Japanese company SoftBank which contributed to the world premiere of Triple Play on ADSL. He owns 80 patents including three international standards. Patrick Duvaut is also the author of 150 scientific publications and 5 books.

The Fondation Paris-Saclay Université shares the University’s humanist values and supports the University’s community through its actions. Over the past two years, it has helped to establish several research chairs, allocated student grants, and supported solidarity projects and scientific outreach actions for the general public.
