Gender equality plan

Université Paris-Saclay's 2025-27 action plan has been approved by the university’s central councils (CSAE and CA). Compared with the 2021-24 plan, this new plan includes measures specifically targeted at the student population.

It is structured into five areas:

  1. Strengthening the institutional governance of the equality policy
  2. Promoting work-life balance
  3. Ensuring equal access for men and women to studies and employment
  4. Assessing, preventing and addressing gender pay gaps
  5. Preventing and addressing moral or gender-based discrimination, acts of violence and harassment, and sexist behaviour.

2021-24 action plan:

In accordance with Law no. 2023-623 of 19 July 2023, aimed at reinforcing women's access to positions of responsibility in the civil service, and as a public administration, the pay gaps between women and men within Université Paris-Saclay are given below.

Equality in the workplace Index 2024: 91.15/100

This index is calculated according to the following three indicators provided for by law:

  • Overall gender pay gap for civil servants, calculated on the basis of the average pay of women compared with that of men, for an equivalent staff profession, grade and level (Université Paris-Saclay score: 40.95 out of 42);
  • Overall gender pay gap for contract staff, calculated on the basis of the average pay of women compared with that of men, for an equivalent hierarchical level (Université Paris-Saclay score: 34.2 out of 38);
  • Number of public officials of the under-represented gender among the ten highest-paid public officials (Université Paris-Saclay score: 16 out of 20)
