Objectives

With globalization, relationships between different countries and nationalities in a business context tend to be more frequent. The mission of the Master of International Business (MIB) is to provide students with skills and expertise that will help them succeed in the global context. The MIB provides a truly international and multicultural learning environment, which makes its graduates very attractive to potential employers worldwide.

The MIB program aims at providing students with general and disciplinary knowledge and expertise in the various domains of international business. This includes:

  • Good knowledge of business systems and processes at both strategic and operational levels;
  • Strong understanding of the global business environment, and its recent major trends;
  • Applied management skills in international settings;
  • Comprehensive view of business functions (human resource management, marketing, operations, supply chain, and more);

In addition, the MIB program provides students with cross-disciplinary skills such as:

  • Good synthesis and analysis capabilities
  • Organizing and project management skills
  • Methodological skills

Course Prerequisites

The MIB program is primarily intended for non-French speaking foreign students.

The MIB is a two year program. Year 1 (M1) and Year 2 (M2) are offered alternately each year as follows:

  • 2023-2024: Year 1 (M1)
  • 2024-2025: Year 2 (M2)

The admission requirements depend on the year of application. Intake in year 1 (M1) is the main entry point. The minimum admission requirements for M1 are:

  • A L3 or a bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution (3 years, approx.120 U.S credit hours or 180 ECTS), preferably in business/management (applications from other disciplines will only be considered if the applicant demonstrates outstanding academic results and a robust career plan related to the program)
  • A sufficient mastery in English (B2 level or higher, TOEIC 790, IELTS 5,5, TOEFL IBT 80 - CBT 213 – PBT 550)
  • No prior knowledge of French is required but an interest in learning French language / culture is a plus
  • No prior work experience is required but a plus.
  • There is no rigid requirement as to length or nature of international experience but students should have a clear interest in the international environment (studying, travelling, living and/or working abroad,).

An additional intake is offered in year 2 (M2) depending on availability and applicants’ profiles. The minimum admission requirements for M2 are:

  • Applicants must have successfully completed a M1 in business/management
  • or a 4-year-Bachelor’s Degree (240 ECTS) in business / management with significant (2yrs+) professional experience in (International) Business 
  • A sufficient mastery in English (B2 level or higher, TOEIC 790, IELTS 5,5, TOEFL IBT 80 - CBT 213 – PBT 550)
  • No prior knowledge of French is required but an interest in learning French language / culture is a plus
  • There is no rigid requirement as to length or nature of international experience but students should have a clear interest in the international environment (studying, travelling, living and/or working abroad,)

You may submit an application in the same year you complete your 1st year of Master’s degree, pre-graduation.

Alternatively, applicants to year 1 and year 2 who do not meet the requirements stated above, but have significant formal training, relevant professional experience, and/or knowledge or expertise may be granted admission. The number of places available for this type of profile is very limited, and only candidates with a strong professional experience (one that would prepare them adequately for successful study in the MIB program) and a robust career plan may be granted admission (upon approval from the program’s directors).

Internships and supervised projects

Students in the MIB program complete a three to six month internship each year. This internship takes place after the end of the classes (generally at the beginning of April) in France, in companies with an international dimension.

Skills
  • Understand the context, acquire the knowledge base and proficiently use basic management tools.

  • Steer international projects.

  • Steer international strategies, from development to deployment.

  • Appreciate culture diversity and understand what motivates stakeholders in an organisation and the project it is engaged in.

  • Proficiently use communication tools and adapt to the specificities of organisations and stakeholders.

  • Produce knowledge within a company through a scientific, reflective and analytical approach.

Post-graduate profile

Master 2 graduates can obtain various positions in large groups or SME-SMIs, in France or abroad. The positions held are management positions in various sectors, all over the world:

  • business manager,
  • project manager,
  • IT manager,
  • marketing and communication manager,
  • engineer in charge of business,
  • sales manager,
  • account manager,
  • company manager, etc.

The knowledge acquired and the skills developed with this program also make it possible to carry out an international business creation project.

Career prospects

MIB is for those who are looking to start or accelerate a career in international business. As a general management prorgam, the opportunities include all types of management positions in large international groups and in various sectors:

  • project manager,
  • IT manager,
  • Logistics manager,
  • Purchasing manager,
  • Marketing and communication manager,
  • engineer in charge of business,
  • Sales manager,
  • customer service representative.

The knowledge acquired and the skills developed with this program also make it possible to carry out an international business creation project.

Registration fees

Specific tuition fees apply (6200 euros per year - M1 and M2), including access to all university facilities and an off campus seminar (informal events are also frequently organized). These fees apply to all students, regardless of their nationality. The fees can be paid in installments between the time of registration and December 31st.
