Objectives
The program offers three Master 2 tracks:
• “Purchasing Management and Supplier Quality” track (UVSQ, Guyancourt) with a capacity of 35 students
• International Purchasing track (Paris Saclay, Sceaux) with a capacity of 30 students
• Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (UEVE, Evry) with a capacity of two groups of 25 students The Master 1 program is a core curriculum common to all three tracks. However, as the program is exclusively work-study and requires signing a two-year work-study contract, it is necessary to enroll, starting in Master 1, in the institution that offers the track you plan to pursue in Master 2. It is possible to change tracks, and therefore institutions, during the program. The Master's in Production Management, Logistics, and Purchasing aims to train managers in the fields of purchasing, particularly international purchasing, supply chain management, supplier relationship management, and quality management. The Master's program thus aims to train executives capable of leading the development of international trade in goods and services within a globalized economy. In particular, the program prepares students for the now highly internationalized professions of purchasing and supply chain management and, ultimately, for managerial responsibilities within these professions. The program combines solid conceptual and academic management training with a strong professional focus, notably through a practical work-study assignment. This program, offered through an apprenticeship, is therefore intended for students who wish to take on high-level responsibilities in large private and public organizations seeking to expand internationally by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by market globalization. The program is open to students with initial training in management (bachelor's or master's degree in management or equivalent) as well as students with backgrounds in other disciplines (science, technology, law, social sciences, linguistics, etc.) who wish to pursue careers in purchasing and supply chain management. For this highly international program, a good level of English is required, as well as the ability to take courses in foreign languages. For the “International Purchasing” track, proficiency in a second modern language (German or Spanish) is also required. The program is offered on a work-study basis and requires the signing of an apprenticeship or professional training contract for a 12-month (if entering in the second year of the master's program) or 24-month (if entering in the first year of the master's program) assignment in purchasing and/or logistics.
