Multidisciplinary in nature, toxicology is a rare cross-disciplinary field that combines medicine, biology, chemistry, and environmental sciences. The diversity of the teaching units available to candidates during the M2THERV program provides them with excellent training as general toxicologists or more specialized toxicologists in regulatory toxicology.

1. Establish the relationship between identifying the hazards associated with a product and the risks associated with its use.
2. Use scientific reasoning and experimental methods (toxicity assessment models) in the field of toxicology.
3. Communicate and argue the results of your research in writing and orally in both French and English.
4. Critically analyze scientific articles and regulatory reports in order to find relevant information.
5. Understand the essential elements of regulatory toxicology for health products and know how to self-train in this field.
6. Apply essential knowledge in health product vigilance, including regulatory aspects.
Objectives
Graduates with a master's degree in Toxicology are legally authorized to perform risk assessment functions in both the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. Consequently, they must have all the knowledge required in the field of toxicity mechanisms, toxicity assessment methods, and related regulations necessary to perform this function.

Target Audience and Entry Requirements
- Students who have completed a Master's 1 degree in SMPS or a related field (Biology, Biology-Health) at a university offering education comparable to that of Paris-Saclay University, in France or in European Union countries, after validation of specific prerequisite knowledge by the Master's 2 program director;
- Students who have studied health sciences (pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine) in the European Union (and universities with agreements), having completed the fifth year of study or an equivalent to an M1 degree;
- Students with an engineering degree equivalent to an M1 degree;
- Be under 30 years of age to be eligible for an apprenticeship contract.
- Initial knowledge of toxicology, an academic level in the field and related fields (depending on the candidates' profile: biology, pharmacology, public health, etc.) an,d experience in the field of toxicology (research internships, in industry, in agencies) are required.
