Management et Administration des Entreprises

Présentation
Course description

Affiliated with the Graduate School of Economics and Management at the University, the MAE program comprises three tracks: MDO, MQSE, and ETOS. The MAE brings together the full potential of management education and research within Paris-Saclay. It combines a broad-based approach to management and business administration (strategy, international management, organizational change, entrepreneurship, etc.) with a specialization in Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management (QSE).

Skills
  • The program is designed to enable students to acquire a combination of fundamental theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and relational abilities. It aims to bridge the gap between undergraduate degrees not specialized in management and the development of either general managerial competencies (MDO) or more specialized expertise in integrated quality, health, safety, and environmental management (MQSE).

The program is also accessible to students whose professional goals include business creation or takeover, to those with prior professional experience (MDO), or to students interested in pursuing research-oriented training (ETOS). It further provides specific competencies in project management, quality management, and information systems. Through hands-on learning experiences and apprenticeship-related assignments, the program prepares students for a variety of specific roles (HR, commercial management, QHSE, consulting, etc.).

The MAE Master’s program aims to train versatile managerial professionals capable of adapting to diverse professional environments by combining a strategic understanding of organizations, mastery of core management functions, critical thinking skills, and openness to innovation.

The program is structured around cross-disciplinary competency blocks, tailored to each track (MDO, MQSE, ETOS), yet sharing a coherent common foundation.

    1. Mastery of Core Management Knowledge
Students acquire foundational knowledge in management: marketing, finance, human resources, strategy, organization, communication, and information systems. They also develop an understanding of organizational processes and structures.

    2. Ability to Design and Lead Projects
Graduates are trained to design, implement, manage, and evaluate strategic and operational projects in complex organizational contexts.

    3. Skills in Cross-functional Management and Change Leadership
The tracks strengthen students’ abilities to coordinate and lead teams in cross-functional roles such as project management, innovation, digital transformation, sustainable development, energy transition, and organizational change.

    4. Use of Digital and Communication Tools
Students develop proficiency in digital, collaborative, and information management tools, with a focus on practical applications in professional contexts. They also enhance their writing and communication skills.

    5. Reflective Thinking and Research Approach
A strong academic component is integrated across all tracks: students are trained in critical analysis of management issues through thesis writing and action-research projects, enhancing their ability to abstract, structure arguments, and produce relevant knowledge.

    6. Track-specific Specialization

    • MDO: General management, team leadership, organizational strategy and governance.
    • MQSE: Expertise in Quality, Health, Safety, Environment (QHSE), risk management, and regulatory standards.
    • ETOS: Research skills, strategic analysis, consulting in organizational transformation.

    **7\. Intercultural and International Competencies**
The program includes modules taught in English, immersive international seminars (e.g., USA, Croatia), and promotes multicultural exchanges, thereby strengthening students' ability to operate in global and intercultural environments.
  • Overall organisation

The Management and Business Administration (MAE) program currently comprises three tracks: Organizational Management (MDO), Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management (MQSE), and Technological, Organizational, and Strategic Developments (ETOS).

    Learning outcome targets

This program is designed to train managerial professionals capable of evolving within complex and rapidly changing environments. It provides students with a solid foundation in management sciences, a deep understanding of organizational dynamics, and the ability to apply cross-functional skills such as project management, change management, innovation, digital transformation, corporate social responsibility, and intercultural management.

The program offers both professional specialization, through the work-study  MDO and MQSE, and academic orientation, via the research-focused ETOS. It is specifically designed to be accessible to students from non-management backgrounds, combining a strong professional dimension through apprenticeship and hands-on experience with a research-oriented approach grounded in critical and reflective thinking.

An affirmed international dimension is embedded into the curriculum, through immersive seminars abroad, partial instruction in English, and openness to international audiences. Rooted in the research activities of the LAREQUOI and LITEM laboratories, the MAE program offers a demanding, versatile curriculum, firmly anchored in the realities of contemporary organizations. It supports students in their professional development, closely aligned with the socio-economic fabric at the local, national, and international levels, while remaining consistent with the strategic priorities of Université Paris-Saclay.

    Target audience

The program offers tailored tracks for both initial training (ETOS) and work-study formats (MDO and MQSE). It is open to traditional students (initial training) as well as continuing education participants, including employees from the private and public sectors, self-employed professionals, job seekers, and individual learners
