Objectives

The aim of the programme in the Sports Science undergraduate degree tracks is to build scientific, technical, technological and (pre-)professional knowledge and competencies in the fields of physical, sports and artistic activities (APSA in French), motor learning, human movement and body cultures in society. More specifically, the Sports Science-EM track aims to build the competencies needed to teach Physical, Sports and Artistic Activities in educational and school environments by: • Introducing students to a first multidisciplinary approach to sports motor competencies, sports culture, and the educational and learning issues that emerge from the teaching of Physical, Sports and Artistic Practices (PPSA) and PES; • Providing students with a solid curriculum whose content is directly in line with contemporary transformations in sport and developments in scientific, technical and practical knowledge in the field of PPSA. This Undergraduate degree highlights the scientific approaches and strategies, technological problems and educational issues in their modern aspects and in their socio-historical context, which underpin all teaching of PPSA. • Strengthening knowledge in the field of PPSA, and providing tools and methods related to the quality of written and oral communication, academic work, scientific and technological requirements • Enabling students to gradually build up their study project and their first professional teaching experiences.
