The objective of this Chemistry, Life Sciences undergraduate double degree is to offer students a comprehensive curriculum in the fields of chemistry and biology. It will enable them to acquire a basis of general competencies in these two disciplines. This programme, closely linked to research conducted at Université Paris-Saclay, is designed for students wishing to move into scientific research.
The third year builds on the 3rd-Year Undergraduate in Biology and the 3rd-Year Undergraduate in Chemistry, and enables students to refine and build their plans for further study in a major.
Information
Skills
During the 3rd year, a curriculum is proposed in scientific project management working as a team, based on research themes proposed by partner laboratories. The 3rd year undergraduate degree includes a compulsory English course. As part of their research-based courses, students will be required to communicate in English (presentation of work or projects in the form of posters in English) and to research and analyse information in scientific journals (introduction to analysing scientific articles in English). The university offers several exchange programmes. Financial support may be granted to students who apply for internships abroad. There is the possibility of validating an internship abroad.
Objectives
The third year of the undergraduate double degree Chemistry, Life Sciences is designed to consolidate the fundamental and cross-disciplinary competencies required to obtain a reinforced undergraduate degree, and to prepare students for a wide range of Master's programmes in chemistry, biology and the chemistry-biology interface.

Target Audience and Entry Requirements
Students who have completed the second year (LDD2) continue on to LDD3 in the same course (Orsay or Versailles). Admission to LDD3 is also possible, on a case-by-case basis, after examination of the application and interview, following the 2-year preparatory course for a competitive exam to enter the grandes écoles.
