Mental Health Information on Campus

In response to the growing need for mental health support among students during the COVID-19 pandemic, the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation launched the “Santé Psy Étudiant” student mental health support programme on 10 March 2021.

An online platform was launched on the same date to inform students about the support services available to them. Through this programme, students could access three sessions with a psychologist.

Psy Île-de-France Helpline (GHU Paris Psychiatry & Neurosciences, with the support of the Regional Health Agency – ARS)

Free psychological support by telephone with healthcare professionals.

Psy Île-de-France: +33 (0)1 48 00 48 00 - Available 7 days a week, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Free helpline.

This service provides a listening ear, information and guidance to anyone experiencing psychological distress. Calls are answered by nurses specialising in mental health and psychiatric care. The service is free, and anonymity is guaranteed upon request.

This is not an emergency helpline. Its purpose is to help callers access appropriate mental healthcare services and guide them towards the support best suited to their needs. One of the key benefits of this service is the possibility of arranging a follow-up psychological consultation when more time or specialised support is needed.

Université Paris-Saclay has partnered with Nightline, a free nighttime listening service run by students, for students at Université Paris-Saclay.

Nightline Saclay Helpline: By phone at 0 809 104 105 or via online chat

Available every evening from 9:00 pm to 2:30 am.

Please note: Nightline volunteers are not qualified psychologists. If you need professional psychological support, please contact the Student Health Service (SHS) psychologists.

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted our daily lives. You may currently be experiencing emotional distress, sadness, or difficulties sleeping or concentrating on your studies.

These feelings are understandable, but it is important not to let them persist without seeking support.

To help you cope, the FondaMental Foundation, with the support of the Île-de-France Region, offers students in the Île-de-France area a completely free and anonymous online platform dedicated to psychological support and emotional well-being.
