Live conversation with French astronaut Sophie Adenot aboard the International Space Station
Between 8 and 10 April, Université Paris-Saclay will have the opportunity to establish a radio link with Sophie Adenot, the French astronaut currently aboard the International Space Station (ISS), orbiting approximately 400 kilometres above Earth.
Université Paris-Saclay is preparing to organise, between 8 and 10 April, a live radio contact with Sophie Adenot, the French astronaut currently aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
This radio contact, the exact date of which will only be confirmed one week in advance, will last approximately ten minutes and will take place as the ISS passes over French territory. During this exchange, students from the university, as well as pupils from the Albert Camus secondary school in La Norville, will put their questions to Sophie Adenot. These pupils have been preparing for several weeks as part of their school’s “space classes” programme.
The radio contact will be the highlight of a half-day dedicated to astronomy and space exploration, featuring a programme of short talks and interactive scientific demonstrations designed to showcase different aspects of the space sector.
The event will be livestreamed on Université Paris-Saclay’s YouTube channel, as well as across several campus locations. Filming and broadcasting will be carried out by students from the vocational bachelor’s degree in sound and image techniques at the IUT de Cachan.
Further information will be available on this page and on our YouTube channel as the event approaches.
