The origin of C-BASC
The LabEx BASC
C-BASC builds on an eight-year (2012-2020) interdisciplinary research program, the BASC Laboratory of Excellence (Biodiversity, Agroecosystems, Society, Climate), funded by the French government under the Programme d'Investissement d'Avenir.
In addition to pursuing a stronger integration of disciplines to address key scientific and societal challenges, C-BASC strengthens research on the continuum of agricultural production, food processing, distribution and consumption. To this end, C-BASC has aggregated 2 laboratories (SayFood and PNCA) and has seen one of its laboratories expand (PSAE).
The results of the LabEx BASC projects are available, in the form of reports and videos accessible to all. The 2016-2020 projects are relayed on the home page of the LabEx website. They also appear below, identified by keywords and classified according to C-BASC axes (some projects actually straddle several axes.) The projects marked with an asterisk (*) have for field of experimentation / observation, the Plateau de Saclay. See also the publications of the LabEx in scientific journals.
