LGBT+
Université Paris-Saclay coordinates a range of actions among staff, students and associations to make them aware of LGBT+ issues and the fight against LGBT+ discrimination.
Université Paris-Saclay has signed an LGBT+ commitment charter with L’Autre Cercle, a leading French non-profit organisation for LGBT+ inclusion, including in higher education. The university is committed to ensuring an inclusive working and study environment for all staff and students, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
On Monday 26 May 2025, Université Paris-Saclay, supported by its four founding member grandes écoles - AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, ENS Paris-Saclay and Institut d’Optique Graduate School, and its two associate institutions - Université Évry Paris-Saclay and Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, signed the Higher Education LGBT+ commitment charter with L’Autre Cercle.
The fight against all forms of discrimination towards lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (LGBT+) is fully aligned with the respect for equality, diversity and the fight against all forms of discrimination, which are integral parts of the university’s values and institutional policy.
The signing of this charter with L’Autre Cercle formalises a policy combatting LGBT+phobia and promoting LGBT+ issues, which involves the entire university community. Université Paris-Saclay has committed to developing its actions in four main areas to reinforce the inclusive initiatives it has already adopted:
