Clearly understand a problem in supply chain or operations management, and define its scope.
Objectives
The master program SCOM aims to train students in operations management and supply chain issues. The scope of the issues that are addressed is very wide since it includes i) long-term strategic decisions such as the establishment of industrial and logistical configurations; demand-capacity balancing; dimensioning of production and distribution resources, ii) medium-term tactical decisions such as resource planning, demand management and forecasting, iii) short-term operational decisions such as flow control, inventory management and scheduling.
The objective of SCOM is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the research issues encountered in operations management as well as operations research methods that are adapted to their solving.
