Laboratoire Physiopathologie et pharmacologie clinique de la douleur (LPPD)

Laboratory presentation

The LPPCD focuses on the mechanisms of hyperalgesia and allodynia in humans, that is, on neurological phenomena involving exacerbated pathological pain. This research theme represents a major public health focus up to 30% of the total population. Located on the CHU Ambroise Paré site in Boulogne Billancourt, the unit has a clinical research vocation and works closely with a large number of patients with acute or chronic pathological pain. In addition, the unit's clinician network, coming from different Paris hospitals, offers a real wealth of samples and patients to coordinate major clinical trials in the field.
