A film by Martine Debiesse and Claire Leluc-Derouin

"This is the story of the determination and collective commitment that emerged with the launch of the Paris-Saclay project, leading to a law that is unique in France which protects 2,300 hectares of farmland and 1,646 hectares of natural and forested land on the Saclay Plateau. At the heart of our images are the artisans of the land who produce an essential commodity: food. Our film shows the collective vigilance required to preserve the forests, watercourses, flora and fauna, and to keep alive—vibrantly alive—the agriculture of this very special region." The screening will be followed by a discussion. To examine our relationship with nature, and how private or public interests conflict with the quest for a balanced relationship that would preserve the earth and the living world.
