Award ceremony for the 26th ENS Paris-Saclay Literary Prize
Ambre Chalumeau’s attendance : subject to confirmation
For the past 26 years, a jury of 15 students from the École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay has selected a debut French-language novel to receive an award from a shortlist of 10 titles.
This year, they have chosen Les vivants by Ambre Chalumeau (published by Stock)!
Whether you’ve read the book or not, let the jury explain why they chose this novel (without spoilers) and join in the discussion with the author, who will talk about her writing process.
Lagiraf bookshop will be there if you’d like to buy the book and have it signed.
How do you cope when one of your closest friends falls into a coma, just as you’re about to embark on adult life?
How do we move forward when the other person seems frozen in time?
This is the story told in Les vivants, tackling a serious subject, yet in a style where humour and light-heartedness find their place. A style characteristic of the journalist and columnist for the programme Quotidien, known for her cultural columns, who is publishing her first novel here.
