M1 Biologie-Santé - Cursus Santé - Site Versailles - Médecine
After completing this course, students will master the concepts of biology from the molecular scale to the organism scale. They will have both theoretical and practical expertise in a defined field of research in biology and health.
Knowledge:
- fundamental mechanisms of living beings at different scales: gene, genome, cell, tissue, organism;
- common methods in genomics, genetics, cell biology, cell signalling, biochemistry and physiology;
- methodological approaches to scientific publications (in scientific language, i.e. English);
- experimental concepts and approaches in a specialised field through the selection of numerous optional teaching units (fundamental, finalised, applied or medical aspects of health/biology).
Abilities and skills:
- formulate a scientific problem;
- propose a scientific approach to deal with a biological and/or health problem;
- write using academic standards in science;
- carry out laboratory experiments independently and under supervision;
- interpret, discuss and communicate scientific results in written and oral form.
Skills:
- Be able to independently and critically analyse scientific literature and summarise the state of the art on a specific issue.
Analyser, critiquer la littérature scientifique, produire une synthèse ou un état de l'art sur une problématique définie.
Les étudiants ayant validé le M1 Biologie-Santé Cursus Santé – Site UVSQ – Médecine, pourront, s’ils le souhaitent, s’inscrire dans un M2 afin de poursuivre leurs études et déboucher sur une thèse en sciences (en plus de leur thèse en médecine). Ce M1 Biologie-Santé Cursus Santé – Site UVSQ – Médecine est le premier point d’entrée dans la future carrière hospitalo-universitaire de nos étudiants.
Cette formation s'adresse à des étudiants reçus au concours de PACES, actuellement en cours d'études de médecine, de pharmacie, d'odontologie ou de maïeutique, et aux étudiants vétérinaires. Les étudiants déjà diplômés peuvent également candidater Il s'adresse aussi aux étudiants titulaires d'un diplôme de docteur en médecine, en pharmacie, en odontologie, en maïeutique ou en sciences vétérinaire.
Les étudiants ayant validé le M1 Biologie-Santé Cursus Santé – Site UVSQ – Médecine, pourront, s’ils le souhaitent, s’inscrire dans un M2 de leur choix parmi tous ceux proposés dans le cursus Biologie-Santé de Paris-Saclay ou un M2 proposé par une autre Université.
