The Master's degree 1st year Domaines Anglophones is a highly selective program, jointly offered by ENS Paris-Saclay and Paris-Cité University. It is geared towards the development and acquisition of pre-doctoral skills in Anglophone studies in the fields of linguistics, translation, and civilization.
The jointly accredited Master's degree in Domaines anglophones at ENS Paris Saclay / Université Paris Cité offers high-level training, supported by research in the field of Anglophone studies and in particular English for Specific Purposes (ESP), which has been the specificity of the English Department since its opening in 1992. It aims to train future teachers and teacher-researchers who are particularly suited to integrating training and research units where specialized Anglophone discourses are valued, particularly professional ones.

Analyzing specialized English discourse in numerous professional and/or scientific fields, using multiple reading grids (discourse analysis, LANSAD didactics, terminology).
Objectives
ENS Paris-Saclay's M1 program in English for specific purposes aims to train very high-level Anglicists in a vast array of skills traditionally covered by English studies programs (excellent command of written and oral English, excellent English / French and French / English translation skills, advanced skills in English linguistics and phonology, ability to analyze major literary texts from the English-speaking area, knowledge of English-speaking civilizations), and a very strong disciplinary culture in English for specific purposes (theory and didactics of ESP, knowledge of major specialized domains in an Anglophone context

Target Audience and Entry Requirements
To join the course, applicants must have an excellent command of the English language (minimum European level C1 both written and oral), as well as an L3 (undergraduate) qualification in English-speaking studies or equivalent that covers the topics of English literature, civilization of the English-speaking world, English linguistics, and translation.
