Administrative procedures

With the platform Online Welcome Desk, you can download a personalised roadmap to prepare for your arrival in France and know more about the necessary procedures.

Information regarding visa application is available here. In general, it is necessary to apply for a visa with the "intern" mention for short-term stays or a long-term visa serving as a residence permit (VLS-TS) with the "intern" mention.

If you are 26 or younger, you are eligible for the Imagine'R subscription. If you stay less than 4 months, it's more cost-effective to subscribe to a monthly Navigo pass.

 

Accommodation

Université Paris-Saclay does not provide accommodation for international interns. Due to the high demand in this region, it is important to start searching at least 2 months before coming to France. Be aware that the monthly rent for a 20m² apartment is between €600 and €800 in Orsay and €800 to €1,000 in Paris.
