The Paris-Saclay Student House (MaPS)

The Paris-Saclay Student House (MaPS) is a student life hub funded by the Île-de-France Region and located on the Bures/Orsay/Gif Campus. The MaPS is a central meeting point for students and associations where student life thrives. Situated at the crossroads of Science Buildings 332-333, 336, and the Sports Science building (STAPS, 335), this living space is designed to welcome the University's students and student organizations. Its various shared rooms host numerous student-focused events daily.

The associations housed within the MaPS manage the building and coordinate room reservations as well as scheduled events. Several shared spaces (meeting rooms, a cafeteria-forum, and a multipurpose hall) can be reserved by the entire University community, provided the meeting or event is student-related.

In practice, the MaPS features...

  • Services: Equipped kitchenette and a storage area in the center of the room.

But also and above all:

  • An extended opening period, ensured by students: 8 a.m. - 11 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, Friday to Sunday without interruption
  • 13 associations hosted year-round and many others welcomed for their events
  • A cafeteria space and outdoor spaces to eat or work at any time of the day
  • Very many cultural and festive events: on average, at least 3 different events organized each week!

Booking procedure

The reservation of shared rooms is done on the website: www.resamaps.universite-paris-saclay.fr, thanks to the student IT account.

Organizers commit to respecting the internal regulations of the building and the events charter. The latter specifies notably the principles and obligations for the organization of events at the MaPS.

For most events in the meeting rooms, the reservation does not require an additional procedure, but it is advised to get in contact with the associations on-site to ensure the opening of the building.

For other reservations, notably in the multipurpose hall or cafeteria-forum, organizers must fill out an event file, at the latest two weeks before the event to be able to confirm the request and obtain a validation from the security services of the University.
