M1 Responsabilité sociétale des entreprises et environnement (RSEE)
Présentation
Objectives
- Train professionals in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and OSR (Organizational Social Responsibility), capable of designing, implementing, and evaluating social responsibility strategies within organizations.
- Provide a deep understanding of socio-ecological transitions, related to climate, environmental, economic, social, ethical, and territorial challenges.
- Develop a critical and operational perspective on CSR and related approaches.
- Prepare students for positions of responsibility at the intersection of organizational strategy and sustainable development, in contexts of change and complexity.
- Offer professional opportunities across a wide range of sectors: companies (SMEs and large corporations), local authorities, social and solidarity economy, associations, public institutions, consulting firms, NGOs, etc.
Overall organisation
- The RSEE program is a two-year course integrated in to the Science of Sustainability master's. It includes a first year (M1) in classic initial training and a second year (M2) in apprenticephip.
- This program adopts an interdisciplinary approach focuses on the climate-environment -society interface, taking into account long-term transitions and temporalities (sustainability). Unlike many programs that focus primarily on a managerial approach to CSR, this RSEE program offers a broader vision of corporate of responsibility, also enncompassing public institutions, local authorities and the ESS.
The program is supported by internationnaly recognized laborataries ans research teams in climate science, atmospheric end space sciences, as well as social sciences and humanities: CEARC, LSCE, LATMOS, in connection wiith yhe observatory of the unieverse: CEARC, LSCE, Latmos, in connection with the Observatory of the Univesse of SQY (CNRS-UVSQ) ansd aligned with the IPCC's scientifc priorities.
Course Prerequisites
- Diverse academic backgrounds: natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, law, political science, economics and management. This diversity of profiles is a strength that enriches group dynamics.
- A strong interest in sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR) issues.
- Basic knowledge of key challenges related to climate, energy, and society.
- Strong abilities in analysis, synthesis, and critical thinking.
- Proven ability to work in teams and in project-based settings.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Rythme de la formation
Formation initiale classique sur un an. La période stage: du 1er avril au 30 août.
Internships and supervised projects
- The program also includes a mandatory professional internship (lasting 4 to 6 months, starting in April), which leads to the submission of an internship report and an oral defense.
- Thie profesional defence is a key milestone in the second year of the RSEE Master’s program, which is delivered through apprenticeship.

A l'issue du M1, outre le M2 RSEE en apprentissage, des passerelles vers d'autres parcours de la mention Sciences de la durabilité sont possibles.
Méthodes mobilisées
* La formation s’appuie sur une équipe pluridisciplinaire composée d’**enseignants-chercheurs (notamment du CEARC)** et de **professionnels** issus de divers secteurs. Elle est adossée à des laboratoires de recherche de renom (LSCE, IPSL, LATMOS, CEARC…) et aux **axes scientifiques de l’OSU-OVSQ**, avec des liens forts au niveau national et international (ex : GIEC).
* La formation s’appuie sur une équipe pluridisciplinaire composée d’enseignants-chercheurs (notamment du CEARC) et de professionnels issus de divers secteurs. Elle est adossée à des laboratoires de recherche de renom (LSCE, IPSL, LATMOS, CEARC…) et aux axes scientifiques de l’OSU-OVSQ, avec des liens forts au niveau national et international (ex : GIEC).
* Le M1 RSEE regroupe des enseignements fondamentaux (cours, conférences) qui visent à sensibiliser les étudiantes et étudiants à différentes problématiques. La formation est construite de manière progressive :
* **M1** : Apports fondamentaux, méthodes, études de cas, travail en mode projet, sensibilisation thématique ;
* **M2** : Dimension professionnalisante, expertise, projets en entreprise.
* Une mutualisation partielle est prévue avec d’autres parcours de la mention, notamment via un tronc commun en sciences de la durabilité (3 ECTS/semestre), des UE mutualisées (notamment avec les parcours « logistique » et « Transition vers la soutenabilité »), et des passerelles vers d'autres M2.
* Outre les modalités d'apprentissage classiques, le travail en mode projet, collaboratif est aussi privilégié (travaux collectifs, restitutions écrite et orale), apprentissage des outils (brevet IA, Zotero, outils collaboratifs, etc.)
Accompagnement personnalisé
* Dans le cadre de la formation, des ateliers sont prévues en vue de la professionnalisation dans la RSE (formaliser son projet professionnel, techniques de valorisation de soi, prospection (outils, offres de stages..), mises en situation (recrutement, entretien)
* ´Méthodologie du mémoire de stage et co-encadrement individuel (enseignant académique et référent stage)
