Présentation
Objectives

In companies, and more generally in organizations, a phase of gradual change is currently being followed by a period of radical transformation, associated with what appears to be a critical turning point in the evolution of business management: the digitization of knowledge and technologies, the globalization of economic exchanges, the fragmentation of the value chain for goods and services, the reform of public institutions, etc.

These processes are being examined scientifically from the perspectives of management, economics, sociology, and law in relation to business. In addition, strategic decision-making, human resource management, and technology implementation are now completely intertwined, making the interaction between the skills of managers and engineers more important than ever. Companies are faced with a proliferation of technologies and knowledge that have a profound organizational impact: production tools, networks and information systems, choices of distribution channels for new products and services in markets affected by high uncertainty. This justifies the study and application of sophisticated and rigorous scientific methodologies, borrowing from traditional models of experimental science as well as current trends in cognitive science.

The scientific study of organizational and technological change combines the fundamental disciplines of business management and production engineering with the study of the “intrinsic” technologies of organization, relating to information and communication processes.

The originality of the program lies precisely in opening up this broader field of analysis, on the one hand, to students whose previous studies (engineering schools) do not predispose them to doctoral studies in management, and on the other hand, to students who are not necessarily prepared for doctoral studies in management. this broader field of analysis to students whose previous studies (engineering schools) do not predispose them to doctoral studies in management, as well as to graduate students in the humanities and social sciences who are unfamiliar with the world of production and technology, to working executives wishing to pursue research training, and to foreign students.

With this in mind, the organization and program of the research master's degree meets the following conditions:

  • This multidisciplinary research master's degree in Management Sciences reflects the desire to break down barriers between disciplines in scientific discourse on business, in order to reflect reality, where every action has strategic, organizational, technical, financial, commercial, legal, and human dimensions. It also draws on multidisciplinary knowledge from economics, law, and sociology.
  • Focused on both deepening knowledge and acquiring research methods, this research master's program trains managers who are drivers of organizational learning and vectors of the “learning” organization for private companies, consulting firms, and public administrations and organizations.
Overall organisation

During the first semester, students take courses in methodology and theoretical refresher courses in subjects such as international management, network structures, public management, organizational theory, and strategic thinking. At the end of this first semester, students attend research seminars in the second semester, during which they can apply their current knowledge to solving a problem

Course Prerequisites

The program is open to candidates who have completed a Master's 1 or equivalent, including the M1 ETOS.

The program is also open to students returning to education (lifelong learning) with the option for candidates to use the VAPP (Validation of Professional Experience) system if necessary. The application form for continuing education and the VAPP application are available via the following link.
