M1 Evolutions Technologiques, Organisationnelles et Stratégiques (ETOS)
Following on from a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics and Management, or Social Sciences, the ETOS Master's program aims to consolidate students' foundations in management sciences through in-depth functional studies (HRM, marketing, finance and control) and strategic management (organizational management, strategy, diagnosis and change, project management, principles and methods of innovation, auditing and consulting, studies and research in management sciences, etc.). In addition, compulsory courses in English, management information technology, and business creation, as well as a 2- to 5-month internship in a company (culminating in the submission of a report), enable students to develop a better understanding of how organizations work and to acquire skills that are useful both to researchers in management sciences and to future consultants.
The Organizational and Strategic Technological Developments (ETOS) program aims to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and skills required for research in management sciences. Students can thus prepare to enter a doctoral program or prepare for analysis and research assignments in management science. The program can also serve as preparation for teaching management science at the higher education level. The program is largely shared with the M1 MSC in Strategic Management.
In M1, students consolidate their fundamental knowledge and analytical skills in the main management functions (marketing, HRM, finance and control) as well as in management (strategy, diagnosis and change, project management, principles and methods of innovation, entrepreneurship, auditing and consulting, studies and research in management sciences, etc.). They must also develop their mastery of computer software (advanced functions of Excel, SAS) and English.
The ETOS M1 is primarily intended for students who have completed a bachelor's degree in Management, Economics and Management, or Social Sciences. Admission is based on the analysis of the application file by an admissions committee. An IAE-Message score (www.iae-message.fr) is strongly recommended for admission to this M1 program. In addition, proof of B1 level English (test score or certificate from the undergraduate English teacher indicating the student's level) is also mandatory (if this is not possible, a sworn statement explaining the reason must be provided; the committee will assess the level of English based on grades and the English score in the IAE Message test).
The training program is accessible as part of a return to education (lifelong learning) with the possibility for candidates to use the VAPP (Validation of Professional Experience) system if necessary. The application form for continuing education and the VAPP file are available via the following link.
The diploma is also accessible through VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience). The terms and conditions of the VAE process, as well as the eligibility file, are available via the following link.
A 2- to 5-month compulsory internship, between mid-March and the end of August, results in the submission of a report-thesis dealing with a managerial issue related to the tasks performed.
The writing of a research thesis in management science, as part of the management science studies and research course, constitutes a first research output in management science, based on a critical review of the literature supplemented by an empirical study consisting of secondary data or data collected during the internship or during a study conducted on behalf
