Support for Heidelberg University

Université Paris-Saclay is deeply shocked by the tragic events which took place on Monday at Heidelberg University, in the south-west of Germany. During an attack inside a lecture hall at the university, a lone gunman killed a student and seriously injured three others.

Université Paris-Saclay stands in solidarity with Heidelberg University during this tragic time. The University extends its deepest sympathies and condolences to the victim’s loved ones and hopes that those injured will make a quick and smooth recovery.

Université Paris-Saclay joins fellow institutions in condemning acts of violence like this, and works to ensure that university campuses are places of learning and life where our communities should feel safe.
