Seven members of the Université Paris-Saclay community honoured in the National Order of Merit
On Friday 15 May, 119 individuals from the fields of higher education, research and innovation were promoted or appointed to the National Order of Merit. Seven of them are members of the Université Paris-Saclay community.
To the dignity of Grand Cross
- Catherine Bréchignac, physicist, former director of the Laboratoire Aimé Cotton (LAC – Université Paris-Saclay / CNRS) from 1989 to 1995, and honorary perpetual secretary of the Académie des sciences.
To the rank of Knight
- Abdelhafid Bendahmane, research director at INRAE within the Institut des sciences des plantes de Paris-Saclay (IPS2 – Université Paris-Saclay / Université d'Évry Paris-Saclay / INRAE / CNRS / Université Paris Cité), where he leads the “Floral Development and Sex Determination” team;
- Hervé Desvaux, research director at the CEA within the Institut rayonnement-matière (IRAMIS – Université Paris-Saclay / CEA / CNRS);
- Purificación López-García, research director at CNRS in the Écologie, société et évolution (ESE – Université Paris-Saclay / CNRS / AgroParisTech) and member of the Institut de France;
- Marie-Anne Rameix-Welti, researcher at the Infection et inflammation (2I – Université Paris-Saclay / INSERM / UVSQ);
- Cédric Terret, alumnus of ENS Paris-Saclay, General Inspector of Education, Sport and Research, and President of the French University Sports Federation (FFSU);
- Régine Trebossen, research director at CEA and coordinator of the France Life Imaging (FLI) infrastructure, and head of industry engagement at PASREL-imagerie (Université Paris-Saclay / CEA / CNRS / INSERM).
