Recent changes in administrative procedures for incoming international students

The French Ministry of Internal Affairs has taken new important measures to improve the conditions of arrival and stay of international citizens in France.

What is « ANEF-séjour » (Distance  Management for International Citizens in France)?

The French Ministry of Internal Affairs has taken new important measures to improve the conditions of arrival and stay of international citizens in France. Thus, progressively, all students’ s residence permit applications will  be submitted  through the « ANEF- séjour » platform, avoiding students to make an appointment with an officer of the Head Administrative Office.

Who is eligible for the ANEF-séjour  procedure ?

  • Students who have obtained a « VLTS-TS étudiant » or a « VLTS- étudiant mobilité »
  • Algerian students holding a VLTS « Etudiant » visa
  • Young adults holding a VLTS-T visa for minor students
  • Individuals holding a residence permit  « Etudiant » or any other type

Students who are not eligible for this procedure at this point

  • Students holding a VLSTS « court séjour-concours »
  • Young adults who do not hold a visa or residence permit
  • Students holding a « CARTE RLD-UE »

What is changing:

With the launch of the ANEF service, international students can submit their applications for a first time residence permit or a residence renewal on the platform. Applications will be entirely processed online.

In order to provide students with help and guidance with the new online procedure,  the Student Life and Equal Opportunity Team (for Paris-Saclay University Constituent Faculties) and the staff members in charge of welcoming international students (for the Paris—Saclay Component Institutions and Associate Institutions) are committed to help international students.

You are an international student and your visa expires before 15 September, 2020:

If you have requested help from the Paris-saclay University’s services, our staff will continue to assist you with your application. Please, wait until our staff members contact you.

If you have not yet requested help from your institution, please email: visa.etudiant@universite-paris-saclay.fr (for the Paris-Saclay University Constituent Faculties) or the officer in charge of international students of your institution (for the Component Institutions and Associate Member Institutions).

You are an international student and your visa expires after 15 September, 2020 :

As of September 17, you can apply online via the  ANEF-séjour platform. International students who have started  their application procedure with the help of the services of Paris-Saclay University should also go through this procedure.
