Call for Student Life Projects: Academic Year 2026–2027
For the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year, Université Paris-Saclay is launching a call for projects entitled “Back-to-School Association 2026” to support initiatives led by student associations from its member institutions.
Everything you need to know about the “Back-to-School Association” call for projects
The call for projects aims to encourage, support, and assist the development of initiatives that promote campus life, foster integration and interaction among students from the various Paris-Saclay institutions, and strengthen identity and a sense of belonging to Université Paris-Saclay.
All student associations within the wider Université Paris-Saclay scope are eligible to apply, including those from affiliated grandes écoles and partner universities (Université Évry Paris-Saclay and Versailles-Saint-Quentin).
To be eligible, a project must meet:
2 mandatory criteria:
- Take place on one of the Paris-Saclay campuses within a faculty, component school, or associated member university;
- Promote integration and interaction among students from different Paris-Saclay institutions;
Optional criteria:
- Offer an opportunity to discover the campuses and surrounding areas of Université Paris-Saclay;
- Be a collaborative project involving several associations from different institutions;
- Be a multi-campus project, with activities taking place across different campuses.
If you wish to propose a back-to-school project (whether or not linked to existing welcome events) taking place between August 24 and November 30, 2026, you can submit your application until June 1, 2026 via the following form: https://admin-sphinx.universite-paris-saclay.fr/SurveyServer/s/DVEEC/AAPAsso/dossier.htm
- Projects with a budget of €1,000 or less may be funded up to 100% through the call for projects.
Projects with a budget exceeding €1,000 will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with a maximum funding of €3,000 per project.
All student associations officially registered/approved (charter signed) within the various institutions of Université Paris-Saclay (broad scope) are eligible, provided they propose an activity, workshop, or event for students as part of the 2026 academic year start.
For projects involving multiple associations, only one association may act as the lead applicant. The association and project leader must be enrolled in a Paris-Saclay member institution and comply with the internal regulations of the relevant institution(s).
Compliance with institutional regulations is mandatory for all participants, depending on the project location and/or the association’s affiliation.
Projects must be submitted within the specified deadlines and according to the procedures outlined in the call for projects.
The committee will review submitted applications and pay particular attention to the following criteria:
- The target audience (open to all Paris-Saclay students);
- The quality of the project (objectives, planned actions, timeline, implementation, safety and risk prevention, number of participants and organizers);
- The clarity and completeness of the application;
- A balanced and detailed budget;
- The visibility of Université Paris-Saclay.
Projects involving multiple student associations or several institutions will be favored.
Please note that the committee will not fund:
- Projects from associations not officially registered within their institution (university component, ECO, or UMA);
- Projects of a political, union, or religious nature;
- Alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances;
- Projects that are part of a curriculum (tutored projects) or academic program;
- Operating costs;
- Expenses incurred before the committee review;
- Trips/weekends for a specific cohort or academic program.
Requests for textiles and promotional items will be assessed based on needs, number of participants, consistency with the project, and available resources. Particular attention will be given to their eco-friendly, useful, and reusable nature. For any funding request related to textiles, customized items, or communication materials, a visual must be provided for approval.
If your application is selected, you may receive financial support of up to €3,000, a communication kit, and increased visibility within the Université Paris-Saclay community.
Selected associations commit to:
- Providing a description of the event for publication in the Université Paris-Saclay back-to-school newsletter;
- Displaying the Université Paris-Saclay name and logo on all communication materials related to the project;
- Signing an agreement between Université Paris-Saclay and the beneficiary institution or association receiving the grant;
- Informing the DVEEC of any changes to the schedule;
- Providing photos of the event/activity within a maximum of one month after it takes place (these may be used by the DVEEC for internal communication and reporting);
- Submitting invoices as proof of project implementation;
- Providing a narrative and financial report within two months after the event at the latest, otherwise reimbursement of the grant will be requested by the Student Welcome and Campus Life Office.
Failure to comply with these commitments will result in repayment of the grant.
- Launch of the call for projects: April 15, 2026
- Application deadline: June 1, 2026
- Committee date: June 18, 2026
Only associations requiring clarification on their project will be invited by the committee.

- Up to 5 minutes for the project presentation
- Up to 5 minutes for questions from the committee
