The prestigious international community of Fellows at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) have announced their new members for 2024, including a scientist linked to Université Paris-Saclay, Antoine Girard.

As a CNRS research director at the Signals and Systems Laboratory (L2S – Univ. Paris-Saclay/CentraleSupélec/CNRS), Antoine Giraud has been made an IEEE Fellow for his work on formal verification and synthesis of cyber-physical systems, devices with integrated calculation and communication mechanisms which enable them to evolve autonomously. Antoine Girard’s work uses mathematics to prove that these systems function correctly when subject to critical constraints, providing a security guarantee for the devices in question: autonomous vehicles, smart buildings and power grids, etc.

IEEE Fellow is a distinction reserved for select IEEE members whose extraordinary accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest are deemed fitting of this prestigious grade elevation.
