Institut Galien Paris-Saclay (IGPS)

Laboratory presentation

The Institut Galien Paris Sud (IGPS) is a major international player in nanomedicine research. His goal is to develop nanotechnologies to deliver drugs to target cell populations and modulate their effects or for in vitro diagnostics and in vivo. The unit enjoys excellent international visibility thanks to its numerous publications and communications. His innovative work on nanomedicine attracts many collaborations, as evidenced by registered patents and industrial contracts. It is divided into three main poles (Physical Chemistry, Galenic Pharmaceuticals, Analytics) around which 7 teams with complementary skills are concentrated. It is a member of LabEx Lermit and NanoSaclay as well as the Paris-Sud Institute of Therapeutic Innovation (IPSIT). The IGPS has numerous scientific facilities grouped into common services for some throughout the site, which are available to everyone. They allow an optimal collaboration between the different teams of the unit and also attract external teams.
