Research and laboratories - Graduate School Engineering

Key figures

  • 2,800 researchers
  • 67 laboratories
  • 2,300 scientific publications per year

Engineering research at Université Paris-Saclay

With 2,800 researchers in more than 60 laboratories within its scope, the Graduate School strengthens bonds between disciplinary and interdisciplinary scientific research in line with major societal issues, through academic and socio-economic collaborations.

Research teams work closely with many business sectors such as aeronautics, space, ground transportation, energy, goods, and services industries, finance, bio-resource processing, health, microelectronics, and telecommunications industries

They develop original approaches and concrete solutions based on fundamental sciences.

Research promotion

The Graduate School benefits from the comprehensive ecosystem established by Paris-Saclay University for transferring research results from laboratories to the market at all stages: mapping, SATT, Fab Labs, incubators, calls for projects, and seed funding.

Equipment

Research and training activities are supported by a range of operational platforms, including:

  • Technology centre (C2N, 2,800 m²): micro-nano manufacturing processes, growth, epitaxy, and characterisation of materials
  • Mesocentre de calcul (CentraleSupélec/ENS Paris-Saclay, 3,500 cores): high-performance scientific computing
  • Robotics platforms, instrumented 4-wheel/2-wheel autonomous vehicles, aviaries/drones
  • Virtual and augmented reality
