Présentation
Objectives

Provide a solid grounding in statistics, stochastic processes, operational research and functional analysis. Attention is also given to the acquisition of skills that are essential today: computer skills, English, communication and project management.

Location
EVRY
Course Prerequisites

A L3 in mathematics or equivalent: probability, statistics, analysis, etc.

Skills
  • Understand and proficiently use high-level mathematical tools and methods.

  • Conceive and write a rigorous mathematical proof.

  • Understand and mathematically model a problem in order to resolve it.

  • Be proficient in the use of digital tools and major programming languages.

  • Analyse data and implement digital simulations.

  • Be able to operate in an English-speaking work environment.

Post-graduate profile

- Start an M2 in financial mathematics, data sciences, or optimisation and operational research at Université Paris Saclay, or other universities in Paris or elsewhere as part of a dual programme.
- Option of an ENSIIE/M2 Saclay dual engineering degree (run in conjunction with ENSIIE)

Career prospects

A M1 MA at the Evry site naturally leads to a variety of M2s in applied mathematics. Particular examples at Université Paris Saclay include Quantitative Finance, statistics and data sciences, optimisation and operations research.
Opportunities at the end of M2s in this discipline include:
- financial engineer and quantitative analyst
- risk manager
- insurance finance
- data scientists
- expert in operations research
- academic or CIFRE thesis (industry contract) in quantitative finance, statistics and data science or optimisation.

Programme
