Fablab: Solar Electronics Mini Project

Ever wondered how to solder electronic circuits, 3D print, or make robots and off-grid sensors that are battery-free and entirely powered by the sun ?

Solder and assemble a solar sunflower kit designed and made entirely in the Digiscope Fablab and then customize it with your own 3D print !

The miniature finished kit charges up solar energy in a capacitor and orients itself to follow the (summer- and spring-time) sun throughout the day.

Based on the roboticist Mark Tilden's research in the early 1990s which gave rise to the BEAM robotics movement.
