Exhibition: “In Pursuit of Neutrinos"
This tiny speck of matter fascinates physicists because its nature, mass, and oscillations are all shrouded in mystery. Come meet the neutrinos!
Forum - LumenIn the primordial soup of the Universe, in the cauldron of stars, in the broth of radioactivity, this tiny particle of matter fascinates physicists because its nature, mass, and oscillations are all shrouded in mystery. Neutrinos are all around us, and as you read these words, several million billion of them have passed right through you without you even noticing.
The exhibition features beautiful illustrations that are playful, educational, and humorous. On the agenda: the history of the discovery of neutrinos, laboratory observation techniques, mysteries and oddities, and finally, neutrinos in their various forms (from natural Big Bang neutrinos to those found in nuclear power plants).
