The start of a career in medical research! The courses on offer train students in analysing pathologies through fundamental biological processes, as a complement to the doctorate in medicine/pharmacy. French-speaking professionals learn to explain diseases and treatments from a mechanistic perspective, and to identify the therapeutic potential of innovative therapies, thanks to multidisciplinary teaching at the heart of biomedical research.

Objectives
Choosing this course as a doctor or pharmacist with a degree from abroad allows students to enrol in a curriculum of excellence centred on research and focused on contemporary biomedical challenges at French universities, hospitals, and research institutes. You will consolidate your disciplinary foundations, learn to analyse scientific literature, lead projects and work on specific problems, while being free to personalise your course according to your preferences and ambitions. It trains future doctors-researchers to innovate and take on major challenges in healthcare. As the curriculum is shared with medical and scientific studies students, it fosters interaction, cultural exchange and complementary in terms of competencies and knowledge. With its focus on physiopathology, this course provides an understanding of modern, personalised medicine and innovative therapies. You will benefit from a solid foundation in fundamental biology (genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, cell signalling), complemented by a choice of highly specialised TUs in endocrinology, immunology, microbiology, carcinogenesis, human genetics and other areas, thereby obtaining an integrated approach to biological mechanisms and their medical applications. A veritable springboard to research and innovation in healthcare, it develops autonomy, teamwork, critical thinking and scientific competencies, in addition to the therapeutic and medical competencies already acquired, opening the way to numerous 2nd year Master's courses and enhanced employment prospects in the academic, medical and industrial fields. This course provides a solid foundation for pursuing a 2nd year Master's degree in a variety of fields, such as Surgical Sciences and New Interventional Technologies, Biomedical Imaging, Health Studies Coordinator and Marketing and Health.
