Aging is characterized by the gradual deterioration of bodily functions over time, associated with an increased risk of developing age-related diseases (neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases, cancers, etc.). The biology of aging aims to better understand the mechanisms involved in these processes and to identify interventions that promote healthy aging, which are major public health issues.
The M2 program in biology of aging is a multidisciplinary course that enables students to acquire knowledge about the mechanisms involved in aging and associated pathologies at different levels, from molecules to organisms. It thus provides training in fundamental and translational research in the field of aging.
This program has been developed in partnership with Paris Cité University and University of Lille.
