Présentation
Objectives

The Master's degree in High-Performance Computing and Simulation (CHPS) is a professional and research master's program designed to train high-level scientific professionals capable of mastering three major technological fields: high-performance computing, numerical simulation, and big data analytics. It offers two tracks: High-Performance Computing and Simulation (IHPS) and Modeling and Simulation for High-Performance Computing (MS-CHP). The Master's program is part of the national network of CHPS Master's programs (www.master-chps.fr) and is attached to the Université Paris-Saclay, ranked 1st European university (14th worldwide) in the Shanghai ranking.

    Career prospects

    Course Prerequisites

This master's program is aimed at students with a degree equivalent to a bachelor's in computer science, mathematics, physics, or mechanics.

    Internships and supervised projects

Supervised projects allow students to earn 4 ECTS credits in semester 1 and 5 ECTS credits in semester 2.

Students work in small groups. The goal is to implement one or more algorithms used to model a phenomenon (face recognition, shortest path search, fluid flow, etc.). Particular importance will be given to the theoretical and practical study of the complexity of the algorithms implemented, as well as to understanding the modeled phenomenon.

    The next steps are:

    • Proposing a parallelization of the digital algorithms studied
    • Programming on a parallel machine
    • Studying performance
    Transfer paths

    Post-graduate profile
